Frequently Asked Questions

Product availability

Does Lazer sell helmets directly on lazersport.com?

No. Lazer does not sell products directly to consumers through this website. We focus on product information, innovation, and brand storytelling. You can purchase Lazer helmets through our network of retailers. Visit our dealer locator page to find a retailer near you or order online in the UK and US.

What should I do if a product is out of stock at a retailer?

Stock availability varies by region. We recommend contacting the retailer directly or checking alternative authorized sellers.

Product functionality

Should the helmet be replaced after a crash?

In the event of a crash or any significant impact, a helmet should be replaced immediately. Even if the outer shell looks intact, the internal foam may be damaged and no longer able to absorb energy effectively. Helmets are designed to protect you in a single impact, after which their performance is compromised. To ensure your safety, always replace a helmet if there’s any chance its structure has been affected.

How do you know if the helmet will fit?

All items have size charts which helps you find your size.

I’m looking for a specific spare part, where can I find one?

Check with your local retailer or distributor. You can find your local distributor here.

Can I adjust the size of my helmet?

You cannot change the size of the helmet itself, but you can adjust the fit system both horizontally and vertically in most helmets.

Warranty & maintenance

How do I submit a warranty claim?

Warranty claims are handled through the retailer where the helmet was purchased.

How often should a helmet be replaced?

Helmets age differently depending on how they’re used, stored, and exposed to the elements. Sunlight, temperature changes, travel, and general wear all influence how long the materials stay in good condition. Some helmets can look fine for many years, while others may feel worn much sooner. To keep things simple and to ensure consistent safety, we recommend replacing a helmet after about three years of regular use. This guideline starts from the moment you begin using it.

A helmet’s manufacturing date doesn’t affect its safety as long as it was stored properly before purchase.

How do I clean my helmet?

Use mild soap and water. Avoid solvents, abrasive cleaners, or high heat, as these can damage the helmet’s materials. Read detailed instructions here.
