Optum Ladies in control at Nature Valley Grand Prix!

Resplendent in their orange Lazer Helium helmets, the Optum Women's Professional Cycling Team are in total control of the Nature Valley Grand Prix after stage 3 tonight.

Lauren Hall won the Saint Paul Criterium stage two last night with newly crowned US National Road Champion Jade Wilcoxson finishing in second and Joelle Numainville finishing in 4th place. Thanks to her fast time trial in the opening stage of the race Wilcoxson took over the lead of the race following her second place in Saint Paul.

Tonight at the stage 3 Cannon Falls Road Race it was Wilcoxson winning the stage and solidifying her lead in the race.

Optum also leads the men's race with Michael Friedman finishing second on the day and keeping the leader's jersey going into tomorrow night's stage 4 Minneapolis Uptown Criterium.

O2 Helmet Review

Road Cycling UK checks out the Lazer O2 helmet:

Its real beauty, however, lies inside the helmet with the cradle operated by the top-mounted dial. The cradle is a two-piece system, with a yoke at the back to support the base of the skull and a band at the front. Both were united by what looks like electrical wire, and tightened to a close, but not constricting fit that held the helmet securely while distributing pressure evenly across the skull. There were times when we had to remind ourselves we were wearing the 02.
